    This small side cabinet joined with dovetails has lots of space and two drawers with hand-turned pulls for storage. Tradtional slatted backboards stand on a solid wood joined base. The blackened finish is achieved with a natural oxidizing process and hand-applied oil topcoat.

    Kyle Cook is a custom furniture maker in Brooklyn. He primarily works with domestic wood, trying to use as much reclaimed stock as possible – mainly salvaged from storm damage. Kyle looks at trees and sees potential pieces of furniture within. He sees a journey about to happen for a piece of wood, perhaps thought abandoned, soon to renew its life in another form, beautiful and loved.
