However, when Claudia Brahms and Noel Mount bought a ramshackle barn in Hallowell, outfitted it with antique looms and built a small but sustainable company around heirloom linen and cotton blankets, they knew that the warmth and comfort from a blanket is a reflection not simply of the material result but also of the process it took to make it.
