The story

With a formula for every unique skin type, sensitivity and activity level, their “farm-to-face” philosophy utilizes organic plant ingredients to optimize protection while also infusing the skin with potently nourishing antioxidant extracts. Sustainable in everything from ingredient sourcing to component production, COOLA create luxurious and lovely to wear sun care.
The brand
COOLA uses glass components wherever possible, and only resorts to plastics when needed for the safety and functionality of a formula. As part of the efforts to reduce plastic production and waste, all tubes are made of sustainably sourced sugar-cane resin, which is 100% recyclable. Additionally, all secondary packaging (boxes and inserts) is made from post-consumer recycled paper, flat-packed for easier transit and thus reducing the carbon footprint. All formulas are free of parabens, petroleum and phthalates, and contain over 70% certified organic ingredients. Only producing in limited-quantity batches allows for less waste and reformulating when new developments in sun science are discovered.
