This magnificent 6' 11" (211 cm) grand piano is often referred to by pianists as “the perfect piano.” It is a wonderfully balanced and versatile instrument that does extremely well in refined homes, teaching studios, and mid-sized venues.

The origin of the Model B dates to 1871 with the development of the Steinway 85-note Style 1 grand piano. Modified and renamed the Model B in 1878, it has enjoyed unrivalled renown as a performance instrument in countless venues from the teaching studio to the recording studio, and the concert hall to the home. Today the Model B represents the second largest concert grand piano handcrafted at the Steinway factory in Astoria, Queens.

Brand story

Brand story

Whoever said “they don’t make them like they used to,” clearly hasn’t been to the Steinway factory in Queens, New York. Here Steinway are still handcrafting with pride - and still making their pianos with the same meticulous care now as they did then; one at a time, applying skills handed down from master to apprentice, from generation to generation.
